Angiomatosis bacilar en individuos inmunodeprimidos por el VIH. Tratamiento con claritromicina

Resumen


La angiomatosis bacilar es una enfermedad producida por bacterias del género Bartonella. Las lesiones cutáneas son frecuentes y la enfermedad afecta a individuos inmunocomprometidos principalmente por el VIH. El diagnóstico y el tratamiento precoces mejoran, en gran medida, la sobrevida de los pacientes, por lo cual es importante conocer esta enfermedad poco habitual. Se describen los casos de tres pacientes con angiomatosis bacilar y VIH, y posteriormente se realiza una revisión bibliográfica. Se resalta la buena respuesta de los enfermos al tratamiento con claritromicina.
